Nevada Northern Spectacular

Описание к видео Nevada Northern Spectacular

As part of the Nevada Northern's 35th Anniversary, the museum brought back the Iron Horse Symposium: a weeklong extravaganza of some of the finest heritage railroading in the US. Included with this event were special tours, attendee-only excursions, and run-bys of some of the most iconic equipment in the Silver State. All the while, the regular passenger trains & Be the Engineer Experiences ran like clockwork.

Both 81 & 93 were running that weekend with the 93 showing off what Mountain Monster really means while the green-boilered 81 strutted her stuff to the general public. Also seen is the first NN passenger train pulled by an MU'd ALCO set in preservation and a run-by including recently returned RSD-4 #201, the last of her kind.

As a rare treat, the Nevada Northern also fired up Baldwin-built VO-1000 #801, the only operational Baldwin Locomotive Works Diesel west of the Mississippi and the 1907 Wrecking Crane A made a practical demonstration
