Born on February 18, 1950, in Memphis, Tennessee, Cybill Lynne Shepherd was destined for greatness from an early age. Raised in a close-knit family, she discovered her passion for performance at a young age, participating in beauty pageants and local theater productions.
Shepherd's big break came in 1971 when she was discovered by director Peter Bogdanovich while dining at a restaurant in New York City. Impressed by her natural beauty and charisma, Bogdanovich cast her as the lead in his film "The Last Picture Show," alongside seasoned actors such as Jeff Bridges and Cloris Leachman.
