Sain Ffagan or St Fagans National Museum of History is an open-air museum dedicated to preserving over 50 original buildings throughout Wales and re-constructed at the museum.

Entry to the museum is free. Parking is £7 per day.

The museum was founded in 1946 following the donation of the castle and grounds by the Earl of Plymouth. It opened its doors to the public in 1948.

Sain Ffagan offers a look into centuries of rural life within Wales. Visit a farmhouse, village schoolhouse, Workman’s Institute, pigsty, church, and more.

St Fagans Castle is a manor house that stands on the grounds of what was once a Norman Motte & Bailey castle.
