Описание к видео Mega Man 2: Atari Demake - All Bosses, No Damage, Buster Only, No Miss + Ending

Description Update 1:
I've seen some viewers expecting this to be an actual Atari game, so let me make it clear that this is not the case! Mega Man 2: Atari Demake is how this fangame is called, and the idea here was about the style of the game (especially the graphics), not that it would literally run on Atari hardware. As the developer explains on the game's page, this was "made in Game Maker to closely mimic the graphical and musical style of a pre-NES era of gaming".

Personally, I don't see anything wrong with that kind of approach, in which a "demake" is a reference to style instead of an indication that the game actually runs on a specific hardware. Also, that kind of use of the word "demake" is not uncommon in the context of Mega Man fangames and I didn't have issues with that when talking or showing content of this game to part of the Mega Man Community. However, I can see how this could be misleading to viewers coming from different backgrounds or expectations about Atari games, so I'm updating this descprition based on feedback received!

Description Update 2:

Mega Man 2: Atari Demake is a wonderful and very well designed fangame made by TheSkipper1995. It not only fixes important issues present in the original Mega Man 2, but also adds some twists of its own with new setups and gimmicks. Overall, it is a short and sweet experience that leans to the easier side of the difficulty spectrum.

More details about the changes

Some of the changes players will find in this game:

1) QoL improvements

a) Revisiting and Exiting stages

It is possible to revisit any cleared stage. It is also possible to exit any stage at any time (even those we haven't beaten yet). That is especially helpful for farming lives and e-tanks.

b) Keeping E-Tanks after a Game Over

Players don't lose their e-tanks upon getting a Game Over.

c) Saving and Selecting Fortress Stages

Instead of passwords, Mega Man 2: Atari Demake automatically saves our progress when we beat a level, including Fortress Stages! Therefore players don't need to beat the final stages in one sitting.
It is also possible to replay Fortress Stages after beating them or even to go back to Robot Master Stages after reaching the Fortress ones.

d) Energy Balancer

We start the game with Energy Balancer.

2) Design Improvements

a) Rebalanced Weapons

The game does a great job at rebalancing special weapons. Metal Blade was nerfed, while many other weapons were buffed, so basically any special weapon is good and can shine on many occasions.

b) Boobeam Trap

Even though defeating Boobeam Trap still requires using Crash Bomber, now there is plenty of Weapon Energy in the boss corridor. Even if we collect all that weapon energy and die to the boss, it will reappear during our next attempt. Another change is that now there is a checkpoint in the boss corridor.

c) Alien Fight

In this demake, besides using Bubble Lead, it is also possible to beat the Alien using the Buster, as shown in the video.
