Camcorder Audio Setup: Canon XA70, MXL991 & CVM-V02C Microphones

Dagwood compares the MXL 991 Small Diaphragm Condenser (SDC) against and in combination with a Comica CVM V02C lavalier, both of which have XLR plugs, require 48V phantom power and have a cardioid polar pattern.

Not all of us plan to make Hollywood movies or become wedding videographers so for those of us who fall into the category of casual user or part time family documentarian, this video is aimed at you as opposed to professional photographers and videographers.

The CANON XA70 was released in the United States November 2022 but there is little information available circa creation of this video. I bought one so I thought I would post a couple videos about the basics of the XA70 from the point of view of an amateur.
