Hiking Gunung Api Purba/Nglanggeran in Yogyakarta

Gunung Api Purba or Nglanggeran mountain is an ancient volcano located in the northern part of Baturagung in Gunungkidul in the village Nglanggeran, District of Patuk about 22 km from the city Wonosari. Gunung Api Purba or Nglanggeran has an elevation of between 200-700 meters above sea level.

This area is made of old volcanic material and has a beautiful landscape and geology. It is very unique and of high scientific value according to the parks website.

Mount Nglanggeran/Gunung Api Purba has many different peaks in the park, such as:
1. Gunung Kelir
2. Sumber Air Comberan.
3. Gunung Gedhe
4. Gunung Bongos
5. Gunung Blencong
6. Gunung Buchu
7. Tlogo Wungu
8. Tlogo Mardhido
9. Talang kencono
10. Pemean Gadhung
