This immortal song which always touched my heart and soul, was originally sung by Geeta Dutt with her sensuous voice. Lata ji with her ethereal voice has enhanced its charm.. I do not say that Lata ji has sung better than Geeta Ji, but in no way it is less than the original......
This haunting melody is composed by S D Burman and subtle poetry penned by Kaifi Azmi for Guru Dutt ji's movie Kaagaz ke Phool.
