Der Segelfalter (Iphiclides podalirius) gehört zu unseren grössten und schönsten Schmetterlingen. Er liebt warmes und trockenes Klima. Seine Eier legt er mit Vorliebe auf die Blätter der Felsenkirsche (Prunus Mahaleb) oder verwandter Arten ab. Die grüne Raupe ist sehr gut getarnt. Die Verpuppung und das Schlüpfen sind Zeitraffer-Aufnahmen.

The green woodpecker (Picus viridis) is  feeding on the ground, mainly ants, their eggs and puppets. The tree holes are selfmade. The laughing call of the male is very typical. Both adults share the work of feeding the brood. They are filling up their crops and visit their nestsite maximum once per hour.
