6T70 and 6F50 mechanical operation and powerflow

Описание к видео 6T70 and 6F50 mechanical operation and powerflow

This video covers the mechanical components and powerflow of the GM 6T70 transaxle used in many Chevrolet, Buick, and GMC FWD/AWD vehicles and the 6F50, which is found in many FWD/AWD Ford and Lincoln vehicles. It's a close cousin to the GM 6T40/45 and Ford 6F35, which shares the same design concept and mechanical powerflow. These transmissions are still offered in 2020 models and arrived on the scene in about 2007. In this video, I cover the gearset, clutches and demonstrate powerflow in all gears.

There next video will cover the electronics and hydraulic operation, along with upgrades and modifications offered by the aftermarket.

This video is intended to teach a student or a technician that's new to automatic transmissions the mechanical operation of this transmission.

This is part of the SIU Automatic Transmissions Curriculum, which can be found at: https://www.automotivetextbook.com/au...
