Old School Exciting Drum Solo Played On One Of The Best Sounding Vintage Kit

These are my vintage 1970 Slingerland drum kit. It has the 14x22 inch bass drum, 9x13 inch tom, 16x16 inch floor tom, and the Slingerland Artist 5.5x14 inch snare drum. The sound out of these 3 ply maple, poplar, maple shell with solid maple re-enforcing rings produced that amazing full open natural tone out of each drum. These vintage drums with my old school drumming is a TIMELESS sound that will never get old to hear. I have learned from all the old school jazz drummers like Gene Krupa, Max Roach, Buddy Rich, Sonny Payne, Joe Morello, and Louie Bellson on the art of the exciting drum solo. In this concert I did with my Ken Loomer Jazz Quartet, this is the drum solo I did on the famous jazz standard "Caravan". Playing in old school style, using only the toms to start off the drum solo, I then went into using all parts of this great sounding Slingerland classic drum set and vintage A Zildjian cymbals to produce and exciting solo for the people. The great part about doing these live concerts is the people will give you real feedback on how you are performing.
