HOW TO INSTALL PHOTOSHOP ACR PRESETS IN CAMERA RAW

STEP 1: RECEIVE YOUR DOWNLOAD EMAIL
Immediately after your purchase, you will receive a download email. If you haven't received this email, check your spam folder and add us as a safe sender. If you still can't find it, please reach out to us at [email protected]. There may be a problem with the email that you originally provided.

STEP 2: DOWNLOAD THE PRESETS
Your download will contain a zipped file. Back-up this file for future reference. Each purchase comes with two lifetime downloads. Can't find your downloaded file? Downloaded files are often found in the Downloads Folder on your hard drive.

STEP 3: UNZIP THE FILES
If you have a PC: Right-click on the downloaded folder and then click “extract all”. If you have a MAC: Double-click on the downloaded folder and your computer will automatically extract all.

STEP 4: SAVE THE FILES
Find the following location on your computer hard drive:

Mac Users: Users--YOUR NAME--Library--Application Support--Adobe--Camera Raw-- Settings
Windows Users: Application Data--Adobe--Camera Raw--Settings OR C: Users-[user name]--AppData--Roaming--Adobe--Camera Raw--Settings
Copy and paste the .xmp presets into the Settings Folder (note, ensure you only paste the .xmp files only as ACR does not recognize folders).

STEP 5: APPLYING ACR PRESETS
Step 1: Open your RAW image in Photoshop. Click on the Filter and select Camera Raw Filter. This will open Camera Raw in a new window.

Step 2: Click on the presets icon



Then, select from among the list of presets to apply.

TROUBLESHOOTING
Windows Users: If you are unable to find your Settings Folder, you will need to change your folder options to show hidden files and folders. See instructions here

Mac Users:If you are unable to find your Library Folder, see this article

Mac Users:If you are unable to find the Setting Folder follow the steps below:

Go to your Finder and select Go -- Go to Folder from the drop-down menu. Copy and paste the following in the search box: ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Camera Raw/Settings

If the Settings Folder still cannot be found, you can also save a file within ACR and search for it on your computer.

Open a RAW image in Photoshop Camera Raw window. (Right click on Raw or DNG file and select open in Photoshop).
Click on the Basic Panel drop down menu and select Save Settings.


The Save Settings dialog will open. Click Save.


The Settings Folder where ACR presets should be saved will appear. Save your file here, then search for the filename in your finder/explorer or spotlight to find the folder. When the folder is located, add it to your favorites or make a desktop shortcut on your sidebar for future easy access.
