Use of Alpha Blockers in Pheochromocytoma:
A phentolamine test can be done to diagnose pheochromocytoma. Using phenoxybenzamine before and during surgery prevents complications related to surgery. Finally, they can be used for chronic treatment in inoperable cases and metastatic pheochromocytoma.
