Toyota has been applying a dual track to standalone vehicles. It has a long-term goal of developing fully autonomous cars that would serve the elderly and disabled. But it is also working on technology for the production of regular cars that could change between helping the driver to full autonomy. Called Toyota Guardian Angel could quietly run in the background and could intervene and take control of the car to avoid an accident.

Apparently, the Nvidia system would be used for this angel approach to vehicle production guard. But it will not be clear until Toyota offers even more details about its plans. However, Toyota's partnership is remarkable, and not just because it is one of the largest car manufacturers in the world. Unlike other previous associations that use the PX unit in the development of auto-driving systems, Toyota wants to use Nvidia's technology in automotive production.

Nvidia's original architecture for auto-driving cars, introduced in 2015, is a supercomputer platform called PX Drive that can process all data coming from camera and vehicle sensors. The platform uses an operating system based on the AI ??algorithm and a high definition 3D map based on the cloud to help understand the car of its surroundings, know its location, and anticipate the potential dangers while driving.
