Tyrrell P34 6 wheel F1 car - dual build (Tamiya 1/20 scale model kit full build)

Building the Tyrrell P34, one of the most iconic F1 cars, from the 1976 and 1977 Formula 1 seasons. This is a full build of the Tamiya kits using the kit of the 1977 Monaco Grand Prix version and the latest release of the 1976 Japanese version with photoetc (PE) detail up parts.

The Tyrrell P34 was driven by Jody Scheckter and Patrick Depailler in the 1976 F1 season, with Ronnie Peterson replacing Scheckter for 1977. It would score a single victory at the 1976 Swedish Grand Prix at the hands of Scheckter. Its innovative 6 wheel design was intended to bring the front wheels out of the airflow, reducing aerodynamic drag while maintaining traction. Ultimately the 6 wheeler project was abandoned after the 1977 season.
