Seinfeld - "The Blood" Unaired Version (1997)

"I wanted this episode to have a significantly darker tone than show had up until that point; I thought that would be a hilarious and unsettling twist--and more importantly, something no one had ever done on television before.

"The original title of this episode was supposed to be "The Filicide," but that was nixed before production even started. The studio evidently didn't read the script, however, and so much of the episode was shot as intended. However, the final edit I delivered to them [this video] got me canned from the network in that room. It was as if they weren't even unsettled, just so confused and clueless as to why someone would take the direction that I did.

"Much of the footage in what ended up airing consisted of reshoots with significant continuity errors. If you watch the scene of Kramer and Elaine speaking outside of Vivian's house in the studio's cut, you can see that in one shot one of Michael Richard's testicles is hanging out of his fly, his delicate scrotum pinched in the zipper. Later on, in the final scene at the hospital, you can see a massive, disgusting goiter on Jason Alexander's neck in one half of a frame. I hated that guy."

Ben Queen was found dead in Burbank, California after having been simultaneously impaled on a stalagmite and a stalactite. He is survived by no one.
