Hotel Review - Congress Plaza Hotel, Chicago IL (2024 Revisit/Lakeview Room)

The Congress has been a favorite of mine for years. It's a gigantic hotel in the middle of downtown Chicago that dates back to 1893. Over the years, it's seen some renovations and changes, but it's never been cohesively gutted and renovated as most properties of this size would have been. As such, the rooms are wildly inconsistent and each experience is different. The building is fun to explore and features many original design elements, as well as some funny modifications from the 50s and 60s. It's loaded with character and there's just nothing else like it. And on top of that, it's pretty cheap and the rooms are always clean. It's been a while, so I thought I'd shoot a new room tour and give you another look at this property.
