How I Found Happiness by Being the Real Me | Jamie Spanier | TEDxSaintAndrewsSchool

Описание к видео How I Found Happiness by Being the Real Me | Jamie Spanier | TEDxSaintAndrewsSchool

Society has pushed us away from the idea of being ourselves and pulled us into the everlasting idea that we need to be like others. Trying to fit in, straying away from who you really are in order to do so, will lead you to becoming a whole different person, and it can lead to depression. In reality, we're all happier being who we really are. Jamie Spanier is a junior at Saint Andrew's School. Outside of school, he works at Chick-Fil-A. In his free time, he likes to spend time with friends and family, play guitar, play sports, and go to the beach. He has been the recipient of several math awards, a Comeback Player of the Year Award in soccer, and a Sportsmanship Award in tennis. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
