Batsugun Special Version is a 1994 shmup developped by Toaplan and never released to the arcades. It is a variant of the original 1993 Batsugun that is considered to be one of the first bullet hell shmups. The Special Version features a smaller hitbox, more powerful bombs, a 1-hit shield, pink pigs giving experience, etc... It is a priori simpler than the original version though a 1CC requires 4-loop completion.

This is a simple 1-All with no bombs (would be really too easy otherwise). The Special Version is a ton of fun and a pure gem that, even today, satisfies the highest shmup standards and reveals the genious of the Toaplan team.
