How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You) is the title track of Marvin Gaye's fifth studio album, originally release in 1965. It was written by the Motown songwriting team of Holland-Dozier-Holland. The song achieved success reaching #6 on the Billboard Hot 100 and ranking #100 on the Year-End Hot 100 singles of 1965. A decade later James Taylor released his own soft rock version achieving even greater success than Gaye, reaching #5 on the Hot 100 and ranking #68 on the Year-End Hot 100 singles of 1975.
