On Friday, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman stated that India is poised to nearly double its per capita income over the next five years, leading to a significant improvement in the living standards of everyday citizens in the coming decades, thanks to the structural reforms implemented by the government over the past decade.

Speaking at the 3rd edition of the Kautiliya Economic Conclave, she highlighted India's remarkable economic progress, noting that the country has advanced from being the 10th largest economy to the fifth largest within just five years.
