ALTADIUM Group’s third production, THE GHOSTS OF MONDAY, is a chilling ghost story about a group of US film-makers who travel to Cyprus to film a documentary in the tragically famous Hotel Gula – a once-popular resort, where more than a hundred people died in mysterious circumstances. What begins as just another day at the office soon becomes a terrifying journey into the unknown.

THE GHOSTS OF MONDAY is the latest film by italian director Francesco Cinquemani (The Poison Rose, John Travolta and Morgan Freeman, Andron, Danny Glover and Alec Baldwin) and produced by Marianna Rosset, Vitaly Rosset and Loris Curci for Altadium Group – a Cypriot based film production company. The screenplay is co-written by genre-habitué Barry Keating (Nightworld, Downhill) and director Francesco Cinquemani, and is based on an original story by producer Loris Curci.

The film is shot entirely on location in Cyprus and boasts an international cast and crew. Principal photography began on February 8, 2021.

Neil McGinley, the casting director of films such as Wrath of the Titans and Stephen Spielberg’s War Horse, helmed the casting division of the film.

Julian Sands (A Room With a View, Naked Lunch, Arachnophobia) plays the role of the enigmatic Bruce McPherson, a once popular movie star, now the host of a TV series called “The Ghosts of the Old World.”

The film lines up a group of young actors: Mark Huberman, Flavia Camilla, Elva Trill, with credits ranging from Netflix’s new Viking series, Line of Duty and The Mentalist. Local actors: Maria Ioannou and Anthony Skordi add Cypriot flavour to the movie, while L.A. based-Greek actress Ioanna Triantafyllidou completes the cast.
