The system, now a product sold by MBDA to other countries as well, was developed ten years ago following the needs expressed by the Romanian Air Force specialists. Romania didn't end up buying the system because of budget constraints, but now - with a 2% of GDP available for Defense - MBDA is back with an offer on the table...
