Bilimora - Waghai by Narrow Gauge Passenger Train | Video 259 | Heritage Train Journey

Video #259 - A long time dream come true! My first ever journey in a Narrow Gauge train! A ride on a Heritage train! The railway line from Bilimora to Waghai was laid by the British for the Gaekwad's Baroda State Railway between 1914 and 1929. The railway line goes through villages, some remote towns and forests to reach a tribal village. The distance from Bilimora to Waghai is 62kms and the train covers this distance in 3 hours.

There are two trains every day in each direction. The track gauge is 2ft6in - ZDM5 diesel-hydraulic locomotives are used on this route. Trains on this route have an airconditioned tourist coach, which can be reserved through the IRCTC website.
