My apartment unit was very dusty on a daily basis, and it was creating allergies which gave me congested chest. I decided on purchasing an air filter unit and narrowed my choices down to a Molekule, Dyson, or the Blueair Blue Pure 211+. Consumer Reports (which I trust the most) rated this Blueair unit as one of the highest performing among air filters in its class, with the best removal of particles from the air. By comparison, both the Molekule and Dyson air filters were rated very low which I found surprising as I assumed both were of the highest quality. Based on these ratings, i went with the Blueair.
Set up is very easy, you just need to slip on the washable pre-filter cover over the bottom portion of the filter, and the top portion easily clicks on top. There are three manual settings so this unit is meant to be operated continuously. I've been using it for the past few weeks and the air quality in my unit has noticeably improved at the low and medium settings. The pre-filter fabric on the unit starts to get covered in a fine layer of dust and particles after a few days which shows how effectively it is working. I no longer have those allergy symptoms as the air has gotten much clearer. I am very happy with this purchase.
