The Long Island Imagine Awards was created as a way to showcase the nonprofit sector and all the good work that it does, as well as provide opportunities for deeper collaboration within the sector. The event acts as an opportunity to meet new people, discover new organizations doing business on Long Island, develop new relationships, and learn from the organizations that are being honored.

Long Island based nonprofits will compete against each other in 6 categories – NEW Sustainability & Environmental; Arts & Culture; Innovation; Leadership Excellence; Rising Star; & Social Impact, with the winner in each category winning a $5,000 grant. In addition, the 24 finalists, 4 in each category, will each receive a professionally produced video, which will be showcased the night of the event, and two free tickets to the event. ADDITIONALLY, THANKS TO OUR DIAMOND SPONSOR, STERLINGRISK, EACH FINALIST WILL RECEIVE A $1,000 CHECK! This is in addition to the other awards.

The Imagine Awards is Long Island’s most prestigious nonprofit event, with over 500 attendees each year.

Judges are:

-Exposed to Long Island’s best nonprofit organizations
-Able to network with top nonprofit and business professionals throughout the Awards program
-Able to contribute to Long Island’s nonprofit sector by selecting the 2024 finalists and ultimate winners
-What does being a judge entail?
If you are selected by the Imagine Awards committee, you will be asked to review approximately fifty applications, rate them based upon specific criteria, and attend a meeting to select the twenty-four finalists and six winners. Winners must be kept confidential since they will be announced LIVE during the Imagine Awards program.

Judge Eligibility Requirements

To serve as a judge, you must:
1. Review entries on an impartial basis, according to the scoring requirements.

2. Recuse yourself from judging any entry with whom you have a personal or professional relationship.

3. Agree to keep the finalist selection process and winners strictly confidential until the results are revealed LIVE at the event.
