I recommend using heavy weight canvas, denim, or twill fabric for this sewing project. I am using a few different fabrics for this backpack so feel free to get creative with your fabric design. Finished bag measures in at approximately 17.5H X 13W X 5.5D inches. Great size for an everyday school bag or even a travel bag. This is a great sewing project for beginners.
