ANC NEC to meet from Thursday: Dr. Kuhle Zwakala shares thoughts

As the ANC's highest decision-making body will sit for three days from the first of August - political analysts say the ANC NEC should reflect on the party's recent electoral outcomes as well as come up with a strategy to revive and strengthen the party's structures moving forward.

The NEC will be followed by an ANC Lekgotla from the fourth to the sixth of August 2024.

The main issues of the Lekgotla will be to elaborate a policy programme for the ANC in government, stemming out of the six priorities of the party's Manifesto and the decisions of the NEC.

The Lekgotla will be attended by ANC members who are deployment in various government entities including; Ministers, Deputy Ministers, Premiers, and Executive Mayors.

This is the first NEC meeting after the appointment of the GNU government.
