I crossed the border to the US at around 6:00 pm on a Thursday, there was a lot of traffic for the people crossing to Canada but not going to the States.
A lot of people from Windsor area works state side and it was a peak hour. If you want to avoid traffic when you return to Canada you should avoid peak hours or you would be stuck at the border for a while.
Avoid early hours or late hour crossings in either Canadian or USA holidays.
When crossing the border you will lose phone reception.
If the border is not busy, crossing the tunnel can take you about 10 min.

Fun fact about me crossing the tunnel:
I always get a bit of anxhiety crossing the tunnel as we are driving under water 🫤 so I try to relax and shut off my imagination for a bit lol

* We can take flights from the US to anywhere in the world (which is cheaper)

* Being able to buy food and products from both countries (if we don’t have a particular food or product in Canada we go to the States)
