VW Golf 4 door lock problem 3

Описание к видео VW Golf 4 door lock problem 3

If Your vw golf 4 some door locks are locked and won't unlock, then one solution is to make a hole in the door panel to get access to lock mechanism and force locking mechanism to unlock.
Car in this video is VW Golf 4 Made in Germany 2002

This is the third part of 4-part video.
Where exactly make this hole, you can see at the beginning of fourth part:
Second part is here:

And first part:

I want to thank Youtube user "stuzman" because I learned from his video:
"Understanding Volkswagen Door Lock Modules - Part 2"
   • Understanding Volkswagen Door Lock Mo...
everything I needed to be able to get my locks fixed myself.

In this video shows European VW Golf 4 back door lock module. These door locks can be different in design. Locks that are meant for US market look little bit different then locks that are meant for "Rest Of The World" market.

This video shows what is happening inside the door lock module when locking mechanism switches to this so called "SAFE" state.

If You wish to see the moment where the lock is opened, then jump to 21:15
If You wish to see how RoW lock looks like from outside and how it differs US one, then jump to 2:10
If You want to see how this lock is engaging this so called "SAFE" state and makes this "extra" microswitch, then jump to 57:20

At the end of this video I was discussing about removing this "green lever" (in video at 1:05:30). I do not know for sure, but I guess that, if this "green lever" is removed, then door lock would start acting like the lock without this "extra" microswitch. There would be some sort of "conflict" between door lock and CCM, I guess. You can see about this "conflict" in this Youtube user - VitorBart video:
"VW Door Lock Paranoia"
   • VW Door Lock Paranoia
If I would remove this green lever, then after that could happen the same thing that happened to him - door lock would close for a moment and open back immideately.
(I found out this video thanks to stuzman after watching his video about door lock module's electrical part:
"The Electrics of Volkswagen Door Lock Modules - Part 3"
   • The Electrics of Volkswagen Door Lock...

If you wish to try to unscrew this torx T20 screw (I mean the one which I didn't recommend to unscrew in this video at 1:14:30), then watch this video:

I don't completely understand, how did he managed to open lock from "safe" state with his method, but it seems that somehow he did it. You'll have to drill a hole anyway to get to the locking mechanism.

That hole, that I made thru the door metal, stayed nicely behind inner door skin - the edge of the door panel covered it up later.
