(Enable closed captions) Note: In the title I said WAS, and that's cos I don't have it anymore, but it's up for grabs! Well, this might just be the best (or worst) kept secret in town folks! Ok ok, a few of you did bump into me when I brought this 2005 Hyundai Tucson 2.0 SUV to either Kenzone or Procas for some work to be done, but by and large, it's been under the radar - insofar as the cars I own - since I acquired it in November 2021. Yeah, I had it for half a year thereabouts, crazy huh?

So the story goes, thanks to a lot of time spent in another Korean MPSUV, i.e. Baldwin's Kia Sorento, I was thinking to myself, maybe I'll try one out as well, and this popped up on-line. I went to see it and bought it on the spot. It was in remarkable condition for a (then) 16-yr old car, with just one owner since new. I was smitten by the interior condition as well as the driving position which proved to be incredibly comfy. Thanks to the right height, it was also very easy to get in and out of, something I liked a lot.

But you know what, as good as this thing was, and as easy as it was for me to just use it as a run-about or 'beater' car, something just didn't click. It wasn't "me". Don't get me wrong, this Tucson is actually a damn nice SUV, despite just being 2WD, and cost a whopping RM131,000 when it was new almost two-decades ago. So yeah folks, I traded it in for the Alfa Romeo 146, which by all accounts is a much more "me" car. As the meme goes, "I don't want Peace, I want Problems....ALWAYS"
