Dying Light: The Beast is a 2025 standalone survival-horror open-world action game by Techland, placing you back in the shoes of Kyle Crane as a part-man/part-zombie hybrid seeking vengeance in the forested valley of Castor Woods. You’ll traverse parkour-rich terrain, fight zombies and mutant experiments, harness your Beast power, form alliances, and take down the sinister scientist “The Baron” who tortured you. It launched on September 18, 2025 (PC/PS5/Xbox Series) and extends the Dying Light series with a more focused horror-driven experience.

• The game takes place in a new region called Castor Woods — a rural valley, once a tourist area, now overrun by the infected.
• The protagonist is Kyle Crane (returning from the first Dying Light game). He has undergone horrific experiments and has become a kind of hybrid with zombie DNA. He is out for revenge.
• The main antagonist is Marius Fischer, also known as “The Baron” — a scientist / pharmaceutical-dynasty heir who captured and experimented on Crane for years.
