Nagaland - The Land of Warriors is one of the Seven Sisters state of _Northeast India.
It's a land of Festivals. Nagaland is another name for Beauty and Bounty. Nagas are considered to be the people who belong to the old warrior tribe. Majority of the population's are now Christian.
The Konyaks are the last tattooed headhunters and the largest 16 tribes of Nagaland. They are the collectors of the enemy's Skulls. They are know for their tattooed faces, blackened teeth and headhunting prowess. Killing and severing an enemy's head was considered a rite to passage. For the headhunters, the taking of the head was a great honour and symbol of courage and the numbers of head's taken indicates the Power of the warrior.
Those who participate in a war but couldn't return with a enemy head will only get tattoo in his chest Not the face.
