CE Performance Crate Engines combined the 400 SBC and 327 SBC type bore and stroke combination, after what was learned with our 354 cu.in. SBC (327 crank in a 400 block), and created an engine, a 349 cu.in. LS with a 6.2L block, bored to 4.125", and a 4.8L 3.267" stroke crankshaft, that produced 1.889 horsepower per cubic inch — an awesome accomplishment! This build included:
GM 6.2L aluminum block bored to 4.125"
GM (stock) 4.8L 3.267" stroke crankshaft
Eagle 6.3" H-beam connecting rods
AFR LS3 260cc rectangular port cylinder heads
Edelbrock Super Victor LS3 intake manifold
Solid roller cam
12:1 compression ratio, runs on pump gas

Cam specs: The camshaft is one we got Comp Cams to make for us. We picked 2 lobes we liked and had them put them at 113 LSA. The lobe numbers are 12677R on the intake and 12686R on the exhaust. The specs are 249/267 @ .050 of duration and .675/.675 lift and .016” lash. The lobes are a hybrid design and can be used on either hydraulic or solid rollers. This 349 LS has solid lifters.
