Los Angeles: On November 30, 2022, at 8:00 a.m., the driver of a stolen 2008 Lexus IS250 became involved in a crash with a 2003 Ford Ranger at 43rd Place and McKinley Avenue. The driver of the Lexus abandoned the vehicle at the scene and fled on foot without rendering aid and identifying himself. The occupants of the Ford sustained minor injuries.

The driver is described as a male Hispanic, 5’09”, 200 lbs., and appeared to be in his 20’s. Video of the hit -and-run driver fleeing the scene is posted on Central Traffic’s social media accounts: YouTube “LAPD Central Traffic,” Twitter @LAPDCTD24, Instagram @LAPD_CTD_24

On April 15, 2015, the City Council amended the Los Angeles Administrative Code and created a Hit-and-Run Reward Program Trust Fund. A reward of up to $5,000 is available to community members that who provide information leading to the offender’s identification, apprehension, and conviction or resolution through a civil compromise.
