This is the ArcGIS Online Scene Viewer, which is perfect for virtual fieldwork. This is the Annalong River in County Down. I can pan around the map but by using the right click of my mouse I can gain a different perspective and see how the river travels from the Mourne mountains to the coast.

This is Glendalough in County Wicklow with Ordnance Survey mapping added to the Scene. We can explore the landscape as well as understanding the OS mapping such a contours and symbols.

Travelling across the world we visit Mount Everest. Again using the right click button on my mouse I can visualise the landscape from different angles.
