Continuing the testing and evaluation of the DRACOS 6.5mm Grendel Barrel. I have been studying the gas system of the DRACOS which is a non-adjustable gas system and wondering if I could regulate the gas elsewhere in the weapon system.

In this video I test a product from Barnes Precision Machine (BPM) that takes a different approach to regulating gas through the gas tube.

Overall I hadn't previously shot the Dracos unsuppressed so based on some malfunctions on this range trip I will restore the gas tube from the DRACOS system and shoot without a muzzle device before returning the barrel.

With a suppressor on the rifle the BPM gas valve allowed me to tune the ejection to 3 o'clock.

With the gas tube wide open I never experienced any "over-gassed" signs which makes me think that DRACOS had the gas port optimized well for the rifle length system and hence not using an adjustable gas block on their stock setup.

Hopefully this video provides some information for DRACOS users and if you're experiencing over-gassed signs look to BPM as an option for adjusting the gas system.
