In March 2010, Laing O'Rourke opened Explore Industrial Park – a state-of-the-art precast factory in the East Midlands. This facility enhances offsite manufacturing, speeding up construction and reducing costs across the UK.

By standardizing components and moving production to a controlled factory environment, projects become faster, safer, and more sustainable, with less waste and fewer risks on site.

Designed with Prilhofer Consulting, the factory layout was meticulously planned and tested for maximum productivity. Advanced machinery, including carousel systems and concrete batching plants, was chosen through a detailed supplier selection process.
