A few weeks ago, I changed the wiring in my Tele to the 'Blend' mod - allowing you to bring the neck pickup in over the bridge pickup for lots of different degrees of the 'split' sound. I spent a couple of weeks getting to know the guitar in this configuration...but there was a few things about it that were annoying me.

The blend was great and I loved the sound of the bridge p'up with no tone control - but the neck + tone cap preset wasn't something I was ever going to use. So I set about trying to tweak the mod to make it into something I'd get more use out of. I couldn't find any wiring diagrams online and had no idea if it could actually be done...but eventually I managed it.

Now, the back position is the bridge pickup only; the middle is the bridge pickup with the fixed capacitor; and the forward position is the neck pickup, with the ability to blend the bridge on top.

What do you think? Does this make the mod more useable? Or not? Comment below!
