The Big Train Excursion 2019

Here is the cut down (yes, CUT DOWN) version of all my footage of a day out to Edinburgh Haymarket station. Why did I do it? Because, why not?

The plan I settled on (plan B) was taking an early train to Edinburgh, but get off at Perth and take a later service. I did that because said later service uses a Class 158, and until I did this trip I hadn’t been on one for six years! I took that to Haymarket and stayed there for roughly an hour and a half, filming the trains I had planned to see, plus anything extra that I could. I took another 158 back to Perth, where I had lunch before heading home. 1. Take the 1B08 to EDB leaving DKD platform 1 at 08:30
2. Get off at Perth (platform 3, 08:50)
3. TRAIN OF NOTE Get footage of the 1600 ton Colas Rail freight: arrives at platform 2 at 09:50 (go to the separated end of the platform)
4. Take the 1L10 to EDB leaving PTH platform 5 at 10:05 (for dat 158 experience)
5. Get off at HYM (platform 1, 11:24)
6. TRAIN OF NOTE Get footage of the TransPennine Express service from Manchester Airport: arrives at platform 3 at 11:28
