Looking at the life of King David, he outlines four common sources of humiliation: betrayal by friends, rejection or dismissal by family, ridicule for our faith, and personal moral failure. David experienced all of these, from being overlooked by his own family to failing deeply in his relationship with Bathsheba. Yet in each situation, God's mercy was present and powerful. Pastor James reminds us that people often judge us based on their own brokenness rather than who we truly are. Instead of internalizing shame or trying to defend ourselves, we are called to bring our pain to God. No matter what has happened in our past, God can redeem every part of our story and use us for His purpose.
