Rode VideoMicro VS Sennheiser ME64 - budget cardiod microphone v pro XLR condenser dialogue test

Описание к видео Rode VideoMicro VS Sennheiser ME64 - budget cardiod microphone v pro XLR condenser dialogue test

In this video I'm comparing the Road VideoMicro and the Sennheiser ME64.

Both microphones have a cardioid pick up polar patterns and both are electret type condenser mics.

The VideoMicro is powered via the plugin power, or electret power, if supplied by the 3.5mm microphone input of the camera it's attached to, or any other audio recording device capable of plug in or electret power.

The Sennheiser ME66 is self powered by its K6 power module via a battery. The K6 is also capable of using 48 volt phantom power, although in this test it's self powered to keep the test conditions as similar as possible between it and the Rode.

To even out the playing field further in this microphone dialogue audio test, I'm using the same Rycote Lyra INV-7 HG MkIII shock mount and the deadcat, or wind muff wind filter that comes supplied with the Video Micro.

This mic audio test video should give you a good idea how each sounds in a typical mid close position, coming over the top in a boom position, top mounted on a camera and hand held.

This should also give you a fair idea of how each microphone would be suited for various types of dialogue audio recording. Such as using them as an interview mic or as a reporter mic, as a vlogging mic, as a youtube mic, or as a podcasting mic or any other use that you may have for recording dialogue.

Along with the different positions, these microphone recording examples should also give you a good idea of the types of locations, surroundings and scenarios that you could use them in, both indoor and outdoor.

Let me know in the comments section what you think of the microphones.
