Ingredients
1 cup besan (gram flour)
1 cup ghee (clarified butter), (1/2 FOR MIXING WITH BESAN) 1/2 CUP ADD WHILE COOKING
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
2 Tsp milk powder
Dry fruits or nuts for topping

BESDAN BURFI
Mix the Besan and Ghee:
In a bowl, combine 1 cup of besan with 1/2 cup of ghee. Mix well until there are no lumps. Set aside the remaining 1/2 cup of ghee.
Make the Sugar Syrup:
In a pan, add 1 cup of sugar and 1/2 cup of water. Heat over medium flame, stirring continuously until it reaches one-string consistency.
Combine Dough and Syrup:
Once the sugar syrup is ready, lower the flame and add the besan-ghee mixture. Mix well for about 4 minutes under low flame, adding the remaining 1/2 cup of ghee during this time.
Cook until the mixture is soft and absorbs the ghee. Be careful not to overcook.
Set the Sweet:
Pour 3/4 of the mixture into a greased mold. Decorate with nuts. Let it set for about 20 minutes.
Step 2: Prepare Besan Milk Peda

BESAN MILK PEDA:
To the 1/4 portion of the dough with in the pan add 2 tsp of milk powder. Mix well without heating.
Shape the Pedas:
Once cool, knead the dough and shape it into small pedas. Top with dry fruits or nuts.
