ArenaNet surprised most of us by adding Convergence Challenge Modes with the final Secrets of the Obscure update. These feature sharper timers and put more pressure on the players to keep Zojja alive, while defeating one of the 5 bosses.

I run all 5 multiple times per week, and like many others struggled sometimes on Hell Sister and Umbriel. The widely "accepted" strategies just don't cut it for some of the CM encounters. That's why we decided to adapt ours and ever since have been consistently getting the Gold Rank in all 5 (Demon Knight, Dreadwing, Hell Sister, Sorrow, AND Umbriel).

Since we deviate from the prevalent strategies, not everyone who joins might agree with our approach. That's why I decided to make a guide, explaining the reasoning behind why we do what we do.

Oh... and all squads I organize have 0 requirements. No LI, no Killproof, no AP checks, nothing. Everyone is welcome, and yet, Umbriel topples over consistently.
