4:44 - Coraline 🍰
1/2 cup butter
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
vanilla
2 tbsp cocoa
2 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 cup buttermilk
1 tbsp vinegar
2 tbsp blue food coloring
6 oz cream cheese, room temp
3/4 cup powdered sugar
vanilla
1 1/2 cup heavy cream
yellow, red food coloring, cocoa powder
1. In a large cup, whisk together the buttermilk, eggs, vinegar, vanilla, & food coloring. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter & sugar until light and fluffy. Sift in the cocoa powder & mix again. Incorporate the dry (flour + baking soda) & wet ingredients, alternating between the two. Divide the batter into greased pans, bake for 30-35 mins @ 350 degrees. Cool completely!
2. In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, vanilla, & salt together until there's no lumps. Beat in the powdered sugar till combined. With the mixer on, pour the cream in a steady stream, whipping till soft peaks. Divide the frosting into bowls & color them (about 1/3 each, removing a few tbsp from the pink & adding more red food coloring), whipping them until stiff peaks.
3. Add a dollop of frosting onto cake board & place one cake layer on top. Pipe a thick layer of yellow frosting on top followed by another cake layer. Crumb coat the entire cake with the chocolate frosting, refrigerate for 30 mins. Add the rest of chocolate frosting to the outside and frost till smooth.
4. Pipe thick lines of the pink frosting around the edges and top. Pipe on “Welcome Home” in red, using a very small piping tip. Finally, pipe 10 yellow flowers around the top!
11:50 - Corpse Bride 👀
1 tbsp gelatin
2 cups water
2 tbsp powdered sugar
2 tbsp match powder
1 cup glutinous rice flour
1/2 tbsp powdered sugar
120g silken tofu
1 tbsp matcha
2 tbsp maple syrup
1 cup ice water

2. Knead together the rice flour, sugar, and tofu into a smooth ball. Separate a bit of dough and mix with charcoal powder or black food coloring to create the pupil. Roll into eye shapes & boil till they float to the surface, 6-8 mins.
3. Make another sweetened matcha shot & dilute with the iced water.
4. Assemble the “soup” by placing the jelly cubes at the bottom of the bowl, pouring over the matcha syrup & place on the “eye balls”. Enjoy : )
16:00 - Over the Garden Wall 🥔
