DEEP IMPACT - THE LAST DERBY

It began with Japanese superstar, Deep Impact #ディープインパクト who won almost everything on his way to greatness. It ends on Saturday 3 June with Auguste Rodin #オーギュストロダン in the Betfred Derby at Epsom at 1.30PM GMT.

Deep Impact was a champion Japanese Thoroughbred racehorse who won the Japanese Triple Crown in 2005 and the Japan Cup in 2006, as well as three other Japan Grade One races. He is by the legendary sire Sunday Silence but has bred his own superstars in Japan and worldwide, such as A Shin Hikari, Glory Vase, Shahryar, Loves Only You, Gran Alergia and Danon Premium.

He has also sired 3 horses of note to race in Great Britain and Ireland, Saxon Warrior who won the QIPCO 2000 Guineas at Newmarket, Snowfall who won the The Oaks at Epsom and now Auguste Rodin, one of 12 foals from his last ever crop. This is his last chance to win the Epsom Derby with his own progeny.
