Interview with Daniel Himmelstein.
Daniel Himmelstein talks about the importance of communication in science and explains the only way that science can work at its highest potential is sharing the results, not only with the scientific community but to people outside of science.
There is still a lot of work left to do to make all the information accessible to the public and scientific publications available to other researchers.

Daniel develops novel methods of network analysis to advance our understanding of
human disease and emerging therapies. He is a graduate student in the bioinformatics
program at University of California, San Francisco and a National Science Foundation
Research Fellow. Before joining UCSF, he conducted research at Dartmouth Medical
School, Cornell University, and the Lewis-Sigler Institute for Integrative Genomics at
Princeton University. As an undergraduate at Cornell, he studied biostatistics with
an emphasis in genomics and computer science. Daniel is a forward thinker in terms
of making science accessible not only within academia, by supporting freedom of
knowledge, but also more broadly by supporting scientific discourse that engages the
public.
