Merus was one of the more unexpected additions to Dragon Ball Super for me. He carried himself like a quiet observer, but there was always a sense that he was holding something back. When he finally stepped in against Moro at full power, knowing it would cost him everything, it shifted the tone of the arc in a way that stuck with me.

This track grew out of my earlier Angel Merus theme, but I approached it from a different angle. Instead of focusing on divinity or control, I leaned into restraint and consequence. The arrangement stays softer and more measured, allowing the weight of the decision to sit in the foreground. The moment isn’t about spectacle. It’s about sacrifice and the silence that follows it.

I wanted this to reflect the turning point it becomes for Goku. Merus disappears, but the resolve he leaves behind changes the fight entirely. That quiet handoff of will is what I centered this piece around.
