Circus Atari is the fourth of a quartet of games Atari published in the summer of 1980, and the second (and final) game written by Michael Lorenzen while he was at the company. Lorenzen's unlicensed home version of a 1977 Exidy arcade game does a fine job of bringing that title's frantic gameplay to the VCS, but it is only one aspect of Circus's long and fascinating legacy in the world of video gaming.

Correction: Ivy did not actually create Destruction Derby for Exidy, but instead modified it to make Death Race.
