Georgie gives an introduction to the EveryPolitician project and first steps in adding political data to Wikidata. If you've identified that a politician is missing from Wikidata, here's what you can do.

mySociety's EveryPolitician project aims to make data about political position holders available to everyone who needs it, and in particular, those building or running digital tools that help people follow, understand and engage with their parliaments.

A key part of this aim is to ensure that complete and consistently structured data about every politician in every country is available through Wikidata -- and that means making it as simple as possible for contributors all over the world to add data for their own countries' politicians.

In this series of videos, Georgie and Alex take you through the process of adding information to Wikidata, using the tools we've built and the approaches we've developed to make that process easier.
