No one wants to create search engine optimisation for their site only for it to fail, but there are ways round this. You need to make sure you give the SEO company enough money and you don’t expect the Earth in your specific project.

You need to look at the competitor-as I said above, if an SEO company has worked with a competitor or near competitor they may be at an advantage. But due to keeping in with both you and them, they may choose to “forget” what they used with them and start from scratch. It seems a much fairer way.
